Welcome to the Flourish Abumere Knowledge Page! We are an Atlantic organization that helps people and businesses grow professionally and inclusively. Our mission is to assist individuals in recognizing and articulating their employable skills to get them hired and to create long-term strategies that enhance the lives of Canadians looking to dive into the workforce.


Our founder, Flourish, is an immigrant from Nigeria who understands the challenges of finding employment in a new country. But instead of just focusing on her success, she decided to give back to the community that supported, accepted, and appreciated her skills. Her dedication to helping others led to the creation of the Flourish Abumere Knowledge Page.


At Flourish Abumere Page, we offer a range of professional services that are entirely free of charge and paid. We strongly support inclusive hiring and actively encourage people with disabilities, Canadian Indigenous people, newcomers to Canada, homeless people, and women to seek employment and should be granted job offers. Anyone looking for work should have an opportunity, not be limited because of a disability, race or gender orientation, and we encourage hiring managers to consider hiring inclusively. We are committed to supporting these groups to flourish.


Our services also extend to businesses. We provide frameworks that foster lifelong professional growth, creating a diverse and inclusive workforce that benefits society. We aim to help enterprises to establish a long-term strategy that will enable them to remain competitive, adaptable, and responsive to the changing needs and preferences of their employees and clients.


Flourish’s dedication to promoting inclusivity in the workforce has inspired us all. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work and strive to support those who share this view. I have loved every minute of my journey

The Emergence of an Insight

I am proud to say that I have dedicated the past decade to advancing inclusive hiring practices, neurodiversity in the workplace, and equity throughout society. My work has focused on creating a social enterprise that supports these goals, and I've had the privilege of helping people with disabilities find meaningful employment.


At the heart of my mission lies the belief that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to succeed. This includes people with disabilities who possess unique abilities that can significantly foster creativity and innovation within the workforce. As someone with firsthand experience caring for a loved one with a permanent disability, I understand the value these individuals bring to society and how important it is to counteract the under-utilization of this enormous talent pool.


My efforts involve creating and organizing webcasts and articles that educate employees and employers on the significance of tapping into this talent pool. I believe that increasing knowledge and awareness of neurodiversity will benefit both individuals with disabilities and the larger community. Our biological wiring and life experiences make us unique, and these differences should be celebrated, not stigmatized.


My outreach continues beyond there. I am committed to spreading the message of neurodiversity worldwide. Embracing a diverse workforce and providing accommodations to those with special needs can benefit society in many ways. It can make our communities safer, more united, and more productive, which will command respect from the world.


Ultimately, I aim to help people with disabilities reach their full potential to participate fully in society, find gainful employment, and meet their basic needs. I want them to develop a sense of self-worth and belonging, feel more socially engaged, and become healthier and more self-assured. And when people with disabilities are allowed to earn and be respected, they can enjoy a great social life, just like any other member of society.


My inclusive mindset and approach

My life work is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable society, beginning with the workplace. Through my social enterprise, I aim to help businesses and individuals recognize the value of neurodiversity and take measurable action towards creating a positive change in the world.

At Flourish, collective action is critical to creating a more equitable and inclusive world. We understand that there is strength in numbers, and we recognize the importance of working together to create lasting change.
